Hey guys, how’s it going? Rahul here coming in with a blog one day late. Hehe… Sorry guys, was busy. So let’s begin the review of this anime “Tokyo Ghoul”!!
This dark fantasy anime was written by Sui Ishida and derived from the manga ‘Tokyo Ghoul’.
No. of seasons: 2
No. of episodes: 24
- Kaneki Ken
- Touka Kirishima
- Eto Yoshimura
- Juuzou Suzuya
- Kishou Arima
- Hideyoshi Nagachika
The story revolves around Kaneki Ken. Ghouls are terrifying creatures which feed on human flesh. When Kaneki is almost killed in an attack, he transforms into a half-ghoul, half-human hybrid and is forced to adapt to their lifestyle in order to survive. He encounters various adventures and new personality changes which change his perspective of his new lifestyle. He makes new enemies, fights new battles but still wishes he were never a ghoul.
The anime is basically about cannibalism. It is a very dark, sad anime. It is super fun to watch. Especially with friends. Lots and lots of blood (warning!). One of my favorites. Shows us some pretty torturous scenes. The first season is slightly slow but the end of the season makes up for it big time! Plus, the first season has the best opening I’ve honestly ever heard in an anime. The second season is more about the fighting and towards the end it is slightly more sad. Overall a worth it anime!
I would give this anime 4/5 stars.
