Hey guys, how’s it going? Rahul here coming in with a brand new blog. Sorry for the last few posts I’ve been a bit late. I’m in the process of moving so it’s kind of hard to get online. I’ll be regular (hopefully) with 2 posts a week from next week. So let’s begin the review of this movie ‘The Fate of the Furious’!
This action film a.k.a. Fast and Furious 8 was directed by F. Gary Gray and was released in April, 2017.
Duration: 2 hours 16 minutes (136 minutes)
- Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel)
- Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson)
- Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham)
- Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez)
- Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson)
- Tej Parker (Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges)
- Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel)
- Cipher (Charlize Theron)
While Dom and his wife Letty are vacationing in Cuba, Don is forced to join the enemy team and betray his family. It is now the family’s mission to get Don back.
The movie begins us with a race scene which does get the audience hyped up and excited but lacks one crucial feature that most Fast and Furious movies have, REALISM. No spoilers in this but just saying, how could Don ever lose a race? As the movie progressed you realize a movie that is heavily dependent and cars and races is now focusing on guns, enemies and the ‘family’. This movie did not meet my expectations. Being the final fast and furious I expected to see more races and something more related to cars. Just to lie up to the name the movie displayed one race scene and a few really cool looking cars. This movie lacked what the previous Fast and Furious movies bring and based off of this I’m actually happy its over. The best part of the movie is definitely its music album. Some great songs. The movie in itself is good. We are again shown how bad Vin Diesel acts. On the plus side, there was a great chase scene and an amazing prison scene which really excited me! If this wasn’t a part of the Fast and Furious franchise this would be a pretty good movie (with some terrible acting). I would recommend to watch this in the theater cause you’ll never finish it if you sit at home. Overall not so great.
I would give this movie 2.5/5 stars.
