Altered Carbon: First Impression

Hey guys, how’s it going? Rahul here coming in with a brand new blog. Hope everyone has had an amazing week. Mine has been quite fun and packed. My friend and I did stand up comedy for the 10th and 12th graders graduation. So, let’s begin!

My friend suggested this show to me and based on the first impression, I do not regret it one bit. The first episode truly demonstrated a great way to start a series. With a great plot line, great acting and great directing, the episode had it all. It gave the perfect amount of information and portrayed it in a way that didn’t seem rushed one bit.

The episode starts off with how everything began. The beginning was a bit confusing but it all started making sense as the episode went along. With some great action, the story was on its way and the sequential way in which the episode was going was so great!

The story then movies 250 years into the future where the main plot is shown and really gets the audience excited. We see a fun and serious side of our main character and are really given an insight on his calm yet bad-ass personality!

Although the show did lack some music it did remind me a lot of Black Mirror. A very well explained story line and a great way to start off the series. The first impression has really impressed and so the bar of expectations is really high. Can’t wait to see more!

A friend of mine is watching this and gives me updates on what is happening in the story as they go. It seems interesting but I probably won’t pick it up at the moment because I’m really behind when it comes to real TV series. I’m only just working my way through Zoo season 2. Still, I think Altered Carbon is a show I should check out at some point.
