Sword Art Online: Alicization: First Impression: “A kids show meant for all ages.”

Hey guys, how’s it going? Rahul here coming in with a brand new blog. Hope everyone has had an amazing week. Sorry for the late post; I’ve just been really busy with school. So, I’ll be posting another review in a couple of days to make up for this weeks review. Let’s begin.

As someone who has been following this anime around, I can clearly say that I’m not the biggest fan of the anime. Although the story is interesting I can’t help but point out how repetitive the anime is in its’ story line. Like any other season, this season did start off with some amazing animation but the story felt bland and didn’t catch my attention.

The season starts of in another game world that feels more realistic than other. It is a new form of gaming that Kirito is testing where he dives entirely into the game but when he wakes up he has no memory of the game.

First, coming to some of the positives, the animation quality is great. The whole display of the anime has always been very good since it has begun and it is very pleasing to watch. Another positive would probably be that the concept of the story for this season seems very interesting. The first episode leaves the audience with a lot of question because of how much is going on in and out of the real world. Like always, this anime maintains a certain level of suspense quality that keeps you wanting to watch more always.

Next, coming to the negatives, for an anime with such a vast story line, I feel the anime has failed to deliver something fresh to watch this season. The story line is becoming all too repetitive and, dare I say, I am getting quite bored. Gun gale online and Sword Art Online were both super fun to watch and the movie was above average. But, after seeing somewhat of the same story 3 times already, I don’t think I am ready for a 4th time. Alternate GGO was absolutely awesome because it’s always fun to see the game without any excess drama and from another perspective. So, unless the story line completely changes later on, I will be quite disappointed.

So, while the negatives over power the positives right now, I hope to see a change in this anime because I don’t want to give up on something that has so much potential.
