Deadpool: Movie: “A comedic, action wonder”

Hey guys, how’s it going? Rahul here coming here with a brand new blog. I hope everyone is having a great week and are staying safe and healthy. So, let’s begin.

Deadpool, a.k.a. Wade Wilson always had a tough life. But, just when things seemed to be getting better, he gets diagnosed with cancer. Out of temptation, he gives his body for experimentation with mutations to cure his cancer. However, the scientists seemed to have another plan in mind to use these people as slaves. However, they made a mistake by making Wade Wilson immortal and the giving him the ability to regenerate at an alarming rate. So begins the hunt down by Wade Wilson to kill the person who performed these crazy experiments on him, Francis.

I had always tried to watch this movie but always lazed around at it’s name because of the fact that it wasn’t on Netflix. But last night, when my friend and I were looking for some movies to watch, this came on my suggested list and I thought there couldn’t be a better time to watch it than in my room at 1 a.m. when the corona lock down was killing us with boredom.

I already heard all the reviews that this movie could offer. And a vast majority of the people assured me I wouldn’t be disappointed. And now, I can assure anyone else who plans to watch this film for the first time, that this movie will not disappoint you. This movie is the perfect mix of comedy and action as it gives us insight on a character who has some undeniably overpowered abilities and a totally cocky yet chilled out attitude. Considering the kind of person Wade Wilson is, we also get to see many scenes in this movie that you would not typically see in a Marvel movie.

Coming to the main plot of the story, we already have basic overview of what was going on in the labs through the Wolverine movie. However, seeing it from the perspective of Deadpool was really interesting. Although the plot was weak, having an idea of the kind of things that were being done to the patients and what plans they had with them in the future really gave the movie a serious aspect to it. And this seriousness was really cut off by Deadpool’s talkative and funny personality which just made everything 100 times better. The action in this film also made everything way better because the movie was bale to combine the great abilities of Deadpool and also add a sense of humour allowing the audience to really get engrossed during these scenes.

One thing this movie really lacked was good supporting characters. You can see the effort made by the cast like any other Marvel movie to include a lot of supporting staff along with Deadpool but I feel like this movie failed in that aspect because the movie was totally focused around the main character. They had a lot of opportunities to allow other heroes to show case themselves a little but more but then again I don’t think this movie would be the same if Deadpool didn’t get the spotlight like he deserved.

Another highlight of this movie is its’ music. It has a great soundtrack which not only added to the overall feel of the movie but also added to the comedic side of the film. I would definitely recommend to watch this film but also watch out for some dirty scenes that come a few times. Overall a good movie.

I would give this movie 3.5/5 stars.
