Hey guys, how’s it going? Rahul here coming in with a brand new blog. I hope everyone is having a great, safe, and healthy week. So, let’s begin.
I’m really backed up on anime reviews because I’m overwhelmed with the number of great anime coming out this season. And the problem doesn’t lie in the fact that there are so many new anime but rather that I can’t progress with some anime until I write a review for them because I don’t want it to hinder how I write the review in any way. Chainsaw Man has been a much awaited anime that friends (and the community) have been hyping up like crazy. The amount of hype that the manga built up has led to the characters already having well-established fan bases and has also set up so many expectations for what to expect in the coming episodes and seasons.
I must say that the first few episodes did not disappoint. We have great characters and a pretty easy to understand plot. But it’s too early into the anime to really say how this anime is going to be different and more amazing than the rest. As of now, the anime feels quite generic and plain although not boring in any way. Denji seems to be like a really enjoyable main character with his simplistic mindset and dirty humor. I haven’t seen any “annoying” qualities in him yet and I feel like that’s really going to uplift the otherwise “darkish” theme that this anime is giving off. Other characters like Makima, Hayakawa, and Power don’t have any bad qualities per se but again, it’s probably too early on to judge their characters. So far, the anime just seems to be working on its’ plot and world development before the real story unravels and we are presented with nice plot twists, great action, and some much needed humor.
There’s not much else to talk about in this first impression. The animation quality mixed with the dark atmosphere gives some “good quality” anime vibes. I genuinely look forward to watching this anime every week because my friends keep reassuring me that this anime is going to blow my mind. I am really excited to see what the rest of the season ha in store. I know this first impression is quite short but I feel like these few words pretty much summarize exactly how I feel after watching just these few episodes. Overall, high expectations for this hyped up new anime.
