Boku No Hero Academy (Season 2): Anime

Hey guys, how’s it going? Rahul here coming in with a n brand new blog. Hope everyone has had an amazing week. My grandparents left this morning and it’s just studying all day for me. School’s back day after! :(! So let’s begin!

Also known as ‘My Hero Academy’, this superhero, science fantasy was written by Kohei Horikoshi. It released in 2016.

No. of episodes: 25

Main Characters:

  • Izuku Midoriya
  • Katsuki Bakugo
  • All Might
  • Shoto Todoroki
  • Tenya Iida
  • Ochaco Uraraka
  • Tomura Shigaraki

After Izuku Midoriya finally achieves his dream of getting super powers he must become the perfect successor to All Might. The season has competitions, encounters with new enemies and our characters training to become stronger in the midst of all this drama and fighting.

Starting off, I personally preferred second season of this anime over the first. They really didn’t make this season as kiddish and boring as the first season was. Starting with what looked like would be a good competition actually was quite boring. Bakugo winning was great and everything, but the way they showed him winning was really bad! I can totally understand why he was pissed for so many episodes. The next segment where we got to see each character develop their power was really cool. Seeing Midoriya learn full cowel, Todorki finally using his fire and Bakugo giving us a nice laugh was great. Also, Shigaraki and Stain were great enemies. What more do you need than to see Todoroki and Midoriya team up and actually defeat a great (wouldn’t completely call evil) mastermind. The battles against the teachers were just ‘ok’. The only truly good ones were Todoroki, Bakugo and Midoriya’s (as expected). The final fight really made me feel like punching Bakugo for acting like an idiot but they did use that to an advantage so it was enjoyable. The ending is what really got to me. The introduction of our new League of Villains. The enemies honestly look so cool and amazing. I really can’t wait to see them in action season 3. I’m really hoping they step up the level of fights with the introduction for the new enemies, in season 3 or else I’m going to be really disappointed. Considering it is a super hero anime, it hasn’t really met the mark for action yet. The season did provide some really cool scenes, great character developments for all, cool fights and humor. The opening was just decent  Overall though, good!

I would give this season of the anime 3.5/5 stars.
